1. WIKA participation in exhibitions
|
Over the coming weeks you'll have the opportunity, at various events, to get to know more about our new products and to talk to our experts about your specific measuring requirements. The first is next week at Anuga FoodTec in Cologne (hall 8, stand A110). In April, you'll find WIKA at the Hannover Messe (hall 11, stand C48) and also at the MSR special exhibition in Leipzig. A little while after, we'll be at Control and also VisionPharma - both in Stuttgart.
Have a look at your calendar and plan your exhibition visits - a visit to WIKA will pay off! We will be happy to send you a free ticket voucher on request.

2. Miniature resistance thermometers - now with ATEX and IECEx approval
|
DEKRA Exam GmbH has granted the measuring instruments of the TR21 model series the ATEX and IECEx approval for the ignition protection type “Ex i”. Thus, for the first time, intrinsically safe thermometers are available in the sanitary applications product portfolio.
High-quality materials, high vibration resistance and ingress protection IP 67 and 69K make the new miniature resistance thermometers extremely durable. Depending on their design, the thermometers feature an integrated digital transmitter with a measuring range of -50 … +250 °C, which can be programmed individually and simply via newly developed software.

3. IS-3 pressure transmitter with IECEx approval
|
For use in hazardous applications worldwide, WIKA has launched a new pressure transmitter to the market. The model IS-3 features a combined ATEX and IECEx approval as well as a SIL 2 rating. In addition, the model IS-3 offers a wide range of variants. It operates with an accuracy of up to 0.25 % of span and is available with measuring ranges up to 6,000 bar.
An optional field case and also a variety of process connections increase the versatility of this new pressure transmitter. The model IS-3 is also available in versions with a flush diaphragm, for measuring viscous or contaminated media, and with a pressure port, for gas and hydraulic applications.

4. Digital SIL temperature transmitter
|
Five years after the market launch of our T32.xS temperature transmitter, an installed base of well over 100,000 instruments is in successful operation in the field. The T32.xS was the first temperature transmitter in the market to be developed and TÜV certified in accordance with IEC 61508 (SIL 2/3), “full assessment”. We have now carried out an update and achieved a new certification of this successful model in line with the latest standards.
The T32.xS can be used universally for almost any sensor and connection type and features signalling and sensor-break monitoring in accordance with NAMUR recommendations. Via HART® protocol, the instruments are configurable with a variety of open configuration tools.

5. Portable SF6 service equipment
|
Portable SF6 service equipment is mainly used for the installation or maintenance of gas-insulated equipment in the power transmission and distribution industry.
Designing for a service life of up to 40 years requires both an adequate maintenance strategy and the use of high-quality components. For the entire SF6 gas lifecycle, WIKA is the only company to offer a product portfolio and application experience from one source.
Our SF6 portfolio concerning portable SF6 service equipment covers the processes of filtering, SF6 extratction SF6 filling, SF6 gas weighing and air evacuation, and also the measuring of SF6 gas quality.

6. New digital indicator, DI32-1
|
WIKA has added a new instrument to the digital indicator programme: With its dimensions (48x24x52 mm), the model DI32-1 indicator is ideal for applications with limited mounting space.
The multi-function input of the model DI32-1 offers 23 input configurations. Thus, the measured values from transmitters with current and voltage signals as well as those from resistance thermometers and thermocouples can be displayed.
In addition, the indicator records min/max values, enables the linearisation of sensor values with up to five programmable points and has a tare function. All readings are shown on a large four-digit display. The new digital indicator also features two transistor switching outputs.

7. Fast temperature calibrations - new standard line in the calibration laboratory
|
Our DAkkS accredited temperature calibration laboratory has expanded its equipment with the addition of three new calibration baths. They serve as ideal temperature sources for the calibration of temperature sensors and are designed for temperature ranges from 28 °C ... 300 °C. Together with an ice point, the new baths function as a standard line. In this line, temperatures of 0 °C, 50 °C, 100 °C and 200 °C are calibrated. Thus, for example, up to 20 measuring devices can be calibrated quickly and economically in the laboratory within two working days.
